Hamilton General Hospital Healthcare Foundation is proud to be a co-sponsor of the 2008 Sweetest Loop at Circle T Arena in Hamilton May 2-4. Other sponsors are Circle T, Scott & White Foundation and corporate sponsor Wranglers.

The Sweetest Loop is a roping competition benefit for breast cancer research and women's wellness, and was among Wranglers' top 10 "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" events nationwide last year, raising $43,000.

"We are excited to be a part of this outstanding event," said Hamilton General Hospital Administrator Jim Shafer. "The HGH Healthcare Foundation will use its portion of the proceeds to help with a variety of women's health issues.

"This is a great opportunity for the foundation. We are committed to making this event even bigger and better this year," he said.

The hospital will sponsor women's wellness events throughout the week leading up to the Sweetest Loop. These will include talks on diabetes, osteoporosis, cardiac health and cancer presented by physicians as well as other activities, including a mini-health fair at the arena on May 3.

One of the trademarks of a progressive community is strong commitment and support of high quality healthcare services. We are fortunate to have outstanding healthcare professionals and facilities in Hamilton, thanks to the foresight, tenacity and stewardship of many of our citizens over the years.

The Hamilton General Hospital Healthcare Foundation was formed to help maintain the legacy of ensuring vital healthcare services now and for the future for Hamilton County and surrounding areas. The Foundation’s primary goal is to support the hospital Board of Directors, the physicians and the hospital staff in a continuation of planned growth and needed healthcare services for our community.

The Hamilton General Hospital Healthcare Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that welcomes all levels of philanthropy, including gifts, memorials and honorariums, as well as donations of such property as stocks. In addition, individuals can create trusts with regular planned gifts affording special estate income tax benefits.

The Foundation is governed by a voluntary Board of local citizens dedicated to developing resources to assist our healthcare system.

To contact the Hamilton General Hospital Healthcare Foundation, call (254) 386-1950.
There are many ways to support continued development of our healthcare system and hospital:

- Gifts may be in the form of cash, life insurance, trusts, gift annuities, marketable securities (i.e. stocks) or bequests

- Gifts of memorials and honorariums are a way to pay tribute to loved ones, friends and colleagues

- Gifts of various types of real estate and property as approved by the Board

- Support of special events hosted by the Foundation

Donors are advised to consult with their legal counsel or accountant to determine specific tax savings and/or the giving opportunity that best meets their need.
