Foundation co-sponsoring Sweetest Loop
Hamilton General Hospital Healthcare Foundation is proud to be a co-sponsor of the 2008 Sweetest Loop at Circle T Arena in Hamilton May 2-4. Other sponsors are Circle T, Scott & White Foundation and corporate sponsor Wranglers.
The Sweetest Loop is a roping competition benefit for breast cancer research and women's wellness, and was among Wranglers' top 10 "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" events nationwide last year, raising $43,000.
"We are excited to be a part of this outstanding event," said Hamilton General Hospital Administrator Jim Shafer. "The HGH Healthcare Foundation will use its portion of the proceeds to help with a variety of women's health issues.
"This is a great opportunity for the foundation. We are committed to making this event even bigger and better this year," he said.
The hospital will sponsor women's wellness events throughout the week leading up to the Sweetest Loop. These will include talks on diabetes, osteoporosis, cardiac health and cancer presented by physicians as well as other activities, including a mini-health fair at the arena on May 3.
