Emergency Department

If you need emergency medical care, you'll find yourself in very capable hands in the Hamilton General Hospital Emergency Department.  HGH provides emergency treatment 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  The department is staffed by physicians and professional nurses trained and skilled in emergency.  The service also provides laboratory, x-ray, CT scan, blood bank and medications as needed for patients from pediatrics through geriatrics, as well as referrals and transfers when needed.

Hamilton General Hospital is designated a Level 4 Trauma facility.
